After getting into the Iceman building and kicking the proverbial tires, I decided it was not a good fit for what I wanted Intuition Ale Works to be.
Our whole mission is to make kick ass beer and not get side tracked by anything.
So I am back to the drawing board and still hunting for a location.
I never thought it would take so long but it is worth the wait as there are no redo’s once you get all of your equipment installed.
I will keep everyone posted as we move along and thank for everyone’s support.

The Marble bank building could become an awesome brew pub. I don’t know how parking and deliveries would work…I’ve seen it done in other cities in old banks…absolutely fabulous. I don’t know anything about the property…etc. Good luck.
David, I agree that the Marble Bank building would be a cool brewery but I think parking would be a major problem. There are so many cool, vacant, historical buildings downtown. Hopefully IAW will find one that works.
David,
I do not know how close you are to closing your deal with a landlord, but I have a location that you might be interested in viewing. This 2002 building is for sale, has 35′ high ceilings, concrete slab flooring, two truck well loading docks, 3/4 acre adjacent lot and come with material handling equipment and storage racking in place. Seller is very motivated and wants hundreds of thousands off market price. Email me for details.

Hey Brian:
I enjoyed the article, “What’s Brewing on Rosselle Street?” in Sunday’s Times-Union. Although I’m not a connoisseur of fine beer or wine, I thorough enjoy a cold beer (or four).
I was interested in your description of the type of building you will need to expand your brewery, as I own a similarly suited building. It is located on the corner of A. Phillip Randolph Blvd. and Albert Street, near the Veteran’s Arena. Billy’s Place, as we call it, is a two story warehouse, built in the late 1930′s, with high, authentic bead board ceilings. We are currently using it as a Jaguar and college football tailgating and parking facility (can park 100 cars). The warehouse has been transformed into a “party room/sports bar” atmosphere that we occasionally rent out for company parties, dinners, family/class reunions, etc. It truly is a unique venue that must be seen to be fully appreciated.
While the property is not for sale at the present time, I have entertained the thought of doing so, and thought it might be of interest to you. If you are interested in seeing Billy’s Place, please feel free to contact me at 904-393-9055 or by email (billyp_antmod@bellsouth.net)
Thanks so much,
Billy Patterson
